We want to make a positive difference to the behaviours and the emotional, and social needs of the learners entrusted to our care
Making a difference to young lives
Good relationships between our school and the community give our learners a greater chance of success
In Science we have an ethos firmly rooted in experimental learning.
During key stage 3, students build their knowledge of biology, be it the human body or the world of plant. They develop their skills in the state of the art laboratory conducting investigations into chemistry and reactions and they test hypothesis based around physics from the earth and solar system to electricity, sound and magnetism.
Oastlers Science Department
During their time at Oastlers, learners will develop a deeper understanding of the world in which they live and their own bodies.
Learners will be equipped with a full range of practical skills to allow them to achieve their full potential , working towards a GCSE following the Edexcel syllabus.
Learners will study aspects of the three scientific disciplines of biology, chemistry and physics being assessed through both written examination and also practical tasks.
