Safeguarding Alert: Distressing Content Online
⚠️ We are aware of a serious incident in Belfast where graphic video footage is being widely shared online.
Police have declared this a critical incident and are asking the public not to share or repost the footage.
What parents need to know
- The content is highly distressing
- Children may see it without searching, via social media or messaging apps
What you can do
- 🛑 Do not search for or view the footage
- 📵 Do not share or forward it
- 💬 Talk to your child if needed, and reassure them
- 👀 Monitor online activity
